In our AV performance "Insan ne?", shown at the „Mauerblümchen“Festival 2023 in Nuremberg, we want to explore our desires and the innerpressure we are exposed to in the pursuit of these desires. It is intended togive the audience a different perspective and invite them to reflect on ourperception of others and ourselves.
Theperformance can be experienced from two sides and unfolds as an audio-visualdialog in which the light pushes through the curtains and casts fragmentedimages. The window serves as a symbol, offering an opaque yet revealing insightinto our collective desires. Again and again, the characters on the other sideare illuminated, then again in darkness.
Bringing this complex AV composition into Nuremberg's publicspace was a rewarding challenge. The complexity of an immersive performance inthe open air has given us important insights for the future: lanterns arebright, cars are loud, ...
